Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer-engineer. Frontman of Full Corn Moon & award-winning performer.
AbdulKarim Islam is Shaman Shade’s resident fretted-instrument specialist, with deep experience in engineering and production. He plays nearly every instrument outside the woodwind and violin families. He is the singer-songwriter and frontman of Full Corn Moon, a musical and auditory art project from Denver, CO. Beyond Full Corn Moon, he works regularly as a pit musician and music director for stage musicals, and companies have hired him to write original scores for plays and to remotely record and program full accompaniment tracks and sound design. He’s also an award-winning actor and singer, equally comfortable on the stage or below it, and a founding member of Third Side Theatre Company, a Denver troupe devoted to creating and performing original work. Today he’s a manager and instructor at Elevated Music Center, and he takes on hired-gun work with artists and bands around Denver, and now and then in Florida. Outside of music, he is a devoted student of Islam, a servant of Allah, and a proud husband.
